Hello
My name is Alex Centurion-Eyre
I started my career training as a mental health nurse in 2014. Throughout my career I have gained experience and training in acute mental health wards for adults and older adults, as well as home treatments and working with crisis teams for children, young people and adults. I have also worked with psychiatric liaison services, community CAMHS, and adult inpatient community rehabilitation.
Upon qualifying I pursued my passion to work with young people and trained as a CBT therapist in CAMHS, providing mental health assessments and treatment for a range of difficulties such as anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and trauma.
I chose to specialise in CAMHS and trained as a clinical nurse specialist while in CAMHS to conduct diagnostic assessments for autism using the ADOS-2, ADI-r and RAADS assessment for children, young people and adults. I also trained in the use of the Young DIVA, a semi-structured interview for assessment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as per the DSM-V criteria.
